
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25, 1994 she is an American retired artistic gymnast. She was twice an Olympian. She was leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five", and 2016 "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she won a gold medal in the team competition with teammates Gabby Douglas and Gabby Douglas the only Americans with back-to-back team gold medals. Raisman was awarded silver medals in the individual all-aroundevent, as well as the floor exercise. She is the 3rd most accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles and has won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist on floor exercise in 2011. She was also the two-time national champion of floor exercises (2012,2015) in 2012, and the 2012 national champion of balance beam and five times medalist in all-around competitions at national championships (silver and bronze in 2015 2010 and 2011 2012, 2011, and 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
