She was leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five", and 2016 "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. In the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she won a gold medal in the team competition with teammates Gabby Douglas and Gabby Douglas the only Americans with back-to-back team gold medals. Raisman was awarded silver medals in the individual all-aroundevent, as well as the floor exercise. She is the 3rd most accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles and has won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist on floor exercise in 2011. She was also the two-time national champion of floor exercises (2012,2015) in 2012, and the 2012 national champion of balance beam and five times medalist in all-around competitions at national championships (silver and bronze in 2015 2010 and 2011 2012, 2011, and 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
