Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and singer. The actress was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. Bell is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. Kristen is from Polish heritage (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered a passion for the arts at an early age on stage. In 1992, Kristen went to her very first audition. She was given an appearance in Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother at the age of 13 and was cast as a model for newspapers and television commercials. She is now also taking classes in acting for herself. Bell was credited with a minor role as a character in Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was part of music and the drama club. In her school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell went on to study musical theatre at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But the film cut her character from the film and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell made an appearance on the Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
