Awkwafina

American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous songs that dealt with sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical experience. She performed on the trumpet. Then, she started hip-hop and classical training. While in college, she took classes in writing and women's studies. Then, she even had a short time studying Mandarin in Beijing. When she graduated, she started to concentrate on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet and was later released on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also featured viral hits like the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. This song is directly tied to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. The resume of her included the musician and author. Now she was looking to further her career in acting. Apart from the early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she has also been featured in films like Neighbors2Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed many breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
